Job Title: Brand and Marketing Lead
Reports to: General Manager
Purpose: The Brand and Marketing Lead is responsible for the production and coordination of visual branding, advertising, social, digital, and print media and other external and in-store communications. This role will promote Fiddleheads Food Co-Op and educate the public about the products we sell, our values and Ends Policies and commitment to the community through digital and print media.

Job Title: Brand and Marketing Lead
Reports to: General Manager
Purpose: The Brand and Marketing Lead is responsible for the production and coordination of visual branding, advertising, social, digital, and print media and other external and in-store communications. This role will promote Fiddleheads Food Co-Op and educate the public about the products we sell, our values and Ends Policies and commitment to the community through digital and print media.

Primary Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with the Management Team to develop a set of marketing strategies.
- Execute the marketing strategies.
- Attend all marketing and promotional meetings weekly and as needed.
- Cultivate and maintain a positive consistent visual branding package for Fiddleheads.
- Effectively translate ideas and concepts into clear, attractive and dynamic visual materials for online and print.
- Understand, align with and market co-op values.
Marketing and Promotions:
- Design graphic pieces for marketing purposes (signage, event posters and flyers, coupons, brochures and other promotional pieces).
- Handle requests for Co-op advertisements.
- Design and maintain templates for in-store communications and retail signage.
- Oversee production of other in-house materials (bag stuffers, educational brochures, etc.).
- Support shelf-level promotions and demos.
- Support customer communication via social media and a digital newsletter.
- Manage social media (Instagram, Facebook, Google Business, Yelp, etc.).
- Support customer communication via social media and a recurring digital newsletter.
- Oversee that website content stays current.
- Act as a spokesperson for the co-op; cultivate good PR from media.
- Serve as primary marketing point of contact.
- Serve as a content expert within the store on the co-op brand and activities.
- Communicate key marketing and outreach initiatives to Staff.
- Work within budget.
Additional General Responsibilities:
- Maintain strong awareness of Fiddleheads’ product mix and stay current on new products, technologies, and trends in the natural foods industry and the food co-op sector.
- Team player: Encourage and demonstrate good team behaviors.
- Maintain good working relations with other Fiddleheads staff.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Know what makes Co-ops unique and how to explain/promote Fiddleheads ownership.
- Attend staff meetings and staff training sessions.
- Follow storewide policies & procedures and the expectations outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Accept other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Communication:
- Respond to all inquiries in a timely manner.
- Consistently communicate respectfully, openly and honestly.
- Listen attentively and empathetically to others, ask questions, and remain open to other viewpoints.

- Ability to work a flexible schedule; working some evenings and weekends as needed for events.

- Physical flexibility to stand, walk, squat, bend, balance and rotate body.
Preferred (Not Mandatory) Qualifications:
- Fluent in Spanish
- Familiar with the New London Area
- Familiar with Adobe Photoshop or similar
- Experience with designing and publishing Newsletters
